From the clients and patients we serve to our in-house team and caregivers, we vow to be your trusted partner in your journey with us. What Sets Us Apart Since the inception of our team over 20 years ago, we’ve always known home health care isn’t simply about programs or services. It’s about helping a neighbor, building a friendship, and most importantly, making a difference in our community — one family at a time. Our History Our Story Begins We realized the community of Palm Beach County needed a trusted home health care partner. Our founding company, Levin Home Care Nurse Registry, was born! We Moved Into Our First Home After growing quickly, we bought a green-shuttered 1929 cottage in the center of downtown Delray Beach. We Expanded Down the East Coast of Florida Our clients told their friends about our caregivers, so we expanded to help them too! We extended our service area to the communities of Port St. Lucie, Martin, Okeechobee, Indian River, and Broward counties. Our Sister Company was Formed Two friends, Gary Uber and Karen Baldwin Wheeler, had a passion for helping people and experience in healthcare. Together they founded Family Private Care, Inc., serving Martin and Palm Beach counties. We Expanded in Delray and Miami Our little cottage in Delray was bursting at the seams, so we found a beautiful 5,000-square-foot space on Atlantic Avenue for our Sonas family. We also opened our first office in Miami, Florida. Our Leadership Combined Our Florida Operations With the fast growth Levin experienced, our leadership team decided it was time to combine our northern and southern Florida operations to improve our care services. We Brought Home Care to Brevard County With improved processes and care services, we continued to expand and opened an office in Melbourne, Florida. Shortly after, we also opened an office in Ormond Beach, serving Volusia County. We Launched Our First Home Health Agency Our clients loved our registry services, but we realized some clients needed a different relationship structure, so we opened our first home health agency. The agency had two offices in Palm Beach and Martin County, Florida. Our Team Expanded to Tampa Bay To continue making the biggest impact possible, we decided it was time to move to the west coast of Florida and opened our first office in Tampa. We Grew to Serve Northeast Florida Continuing to grow from client referrals, Family Private Care opened a new office in Melbourne to serve the surrounding communities and bring love, light and laughter into more homes. We Combined Our Teams to Create A Big Impact As four of the most well-respected home care companies in Florida, we knew we could achieve more together than we could alone. We joined forces to become one of the largest home health companies in the state of Florida. Our Home Health Agency Services Grew We had so much success with our agency relationship model in Palm Beach and Martin counties, so we expanded the same service model to all of our locations. We Launched Our New Name and Brand! We knew by combining all of our efforts under one name and brand, we could make an even bigger impact in the homes and communities we serve. We Added Spring Hill to Our Family Advanced Nursing Solutions, based in Oldsmar, Florida, joined the Sonas family! We also transitioned from a home health registry to a home health agency. We Expanded to the Panhandle We opened offices in Tallahassee and Pensacola to extend our service area to the Panhandle to support the surrounding communities. Further south, we added South Florida Pediatric Health Care, based in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, to our family! Our Family Continues To Grow We welcomed Open Systems Healthcare, based in West Palm Beach, Florida, to add the growing Sonas family. 1992 1994 1997 1997 2000 2004 2008 2009 2011 2013 2015 2016 2017 2019 2021 2022 Start a New Career With Sonas!
