Sherry Christiansen, Market Manager for Care Options for Kids, was recently joined by coworkers Deb Eder, Clinical Liaison, and Ellen Peitz, Director of Community Relations at the Spring 2018 Martin County Career Fair.

The event was held at Martin County’s Indian River State College in the Wolf High-Technology Center. Martin County is located in the heart of Florida’s “Treasure Coast,” which got its nickname centuries ago when Spanish vessels (and their treasures) sank offshore. Today people are drawn to the Martin County community not for riches, but for golden opportunities.

Care Options for Kids was one of 38 employers of various trades looking for potential employees. Our primary focus was recruiting Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides.

We partnered with the Business Development Board of Martin County, SCORE, the nation’s largest network of volunteers and business mentors, and CareerSource Research Coast by participating in the event. In addition to providing a venue to job seekers, the Career Fair provided workshops to help potential employees with interview skills and resume creation.

If you or someone you know is looking to attend a workshop, CareerSource Research Coast offers free workshops for job seekers daily at all CareerSource Research Coast Career Centers.
